  • Daniel Clay Peifer

    Attorney-at-Law

Daniel Clay Peifer has experience with all areas of family law, including divorces, child support, spousal support, custody, and protective orders. He also represents clients in various civil and criminal matters, such as contract disputes, personal injury, and misdemeanor traffic cases. Daniel is in the process of becoming a certified guardian ad litem for the Virginia court system, representing children’s best interest in civil cases as appointed by the Court.

During law school, Daniel was a member of the William & Mary Family Law Clinic, where he provided public access to legal services to those most in need. After receiving his J.D., Daniel clerked for the Honorable Judge T.J. Hauler with the Chesterfield County Circuit Court, handling a variety of criminal and civil matters, and then transitioned to private family law practice. Daniel has represented clients in family law matters in various circuits throughout the Commonwealth.

Daniel also has experience in environmental and land use law, including conservation easements. During law school, he was a member of the William & Mary Environmental Law Journal and Student Animal and Environmental Law Society (SEALS). He participated in the Virginia Coastal Policy Clinic (VCPC), where he focused on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and the impact of rising sea levels on traditionally underserved Hampton Roads communities. During his time with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, Daniel focused on legislative efforts to strengthen and broaden the Virginia Agricultural Cost Share Program (VACS) and the implementation of the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act (CBPA). In his private practice, Daniel uses his passion for the environment to aid clients in conservation and novel land use solutions.
